PSquare MX tutorial

Postby BloorA on November 17th, 2008, 10:29 pm

My second mod, the Psquare MX is a single sided mod and it uses less pens than my first mod, the Psquare VX. The addition to this is the fact that it can write from the back, which is a very good thing! Nothing is better than a writable, spinnable mod.

-PSquare Maximum, or PSquare MX for short
-19cm
-around the same as a G3mx
-Single sided
-Writable
-Cheaper
-Easy to make
-COG very slightly to the front

Tutorial:

Parts needed:
Image
2x Papermate Sport 2 pens/ Papermate Pacer/Papermate Expressions
1x G1 tip
1x Supergel/ Neogel cap
1x G2 grip or any other grip that fits onto the pen

Step 1:
Image
Disassamble the two papermate pens. Discard/keep the unused parts shown in the picture.

Step 2:
Image
File down the part where the grip used to be so that it can fit into the Supergel cap. Also, file down the threads a little bit so it can fit on the unthreaded side of the body.

Step 3:
Image
Wrap some tape around the inktube around the part shown in the picture.

Step 4:
Image
Put the inktube into the part part you shaved down earlier. *optional: put an outsert where the grip used to be*

Step 5:
Image
Put the supergel/neogel cap onto it.

Step 6:
Image
Place the entire back section onto one of the papermate bodies (the end without the threads)

Step 7:
Image
Now take the other thing that used to hold the papermate grip, replace it with your grip of choice which I used a G2.

Step 8:
Image
Screw the G1 tip onto the umm.. thing like shown.

Step 9:
Image
Then take two of the shorter clicker pieces, put them together like shown.

Step 10:
Image
Place the two clicker pieces like shown.

Step 11:
Screw the front part in and congrats, you have made my mod.

*OPTIONAL STEPS*
-Wrap an outsert around the body for looks
-File down the clip on the Supergel cap and place Anyball/Profile (or any other grips) there.

End result:

Congrats, you have now a cheap, writable single sided mod. Go spin with it and write with it!

*UPDATE*
Think my mod is just too short? WEll, good news.

BloorA - If you press the cap in some more than it won't be 19 right???

It's impossible to press the cap in somemore.. the plastic tip part of the papermate pen will restrict the cap from actually touching the body.. look carefully again =.=;
